“I am going to New York to experience a quality performance of one of Western culture’s greatest masterpieces” has become “I am going to New York to watch Oscar Isaac take off his pants a lot.”
I’m cool with it. Art must evolve.
Whatever reason it’s bloody worth it.
Oh it so is. And I’m saying that while sat sweating my belly off (quite literally, I’ve dropped a dress size this week) outside the hotel and dreading looking at my credit card bill when I get home!
Well, that’s a good few hours away! My father said when I got a credit card, the temptation is huge and if you are not careful you can rack up a big debt. But, always, always pay off the minimum amount every month. Wise words I always do !
Have a safe journey home @icantbearsedtothinkofone !
Thanks. I’ve tried to be good and only use it where I had to and only for this trip. I’ll probably cut it up once I get home and I’ll be paying off as much as I can every month – though last month I had to get a bailout from Mum as I went over my overdraft limit so I clearly need to get my behaviour under control generally!
My dad has done something similar with me when I was younger.
Bailed me out not wanting anything back either! I’m a responsible adult now apparently!
Eh… well they also gave me the deposit for this house and and and… thing is it’s all mine eventually *anyway* and they sold the house I was living in a while ago because I couldn’t afford the bills when I kicked the abusive ex out soooo…
trouble is depression and money management don’t go well together and I haven’t been able to take anything because it messed with my studies. Which is why the middle of this week was such a fucker.
I should be taking off in 30 minutes.. somehow I do not think this is going to happen.
Safe journey @icantbearsedtothinkofone !
I’ve started taking Prozac in the last few weeks, I know what you mean that it doesn’t mix with money management or even life management! Lost my debit card yesterday, realised I put it in my other jacket the day before! Walked round town with £2.50 in my purse! Didn’t freak out though so that’s a mercy.
