what does it mean @scarimor?
it means the exisiting economic agreements are so complex that negotiations are, as my dear late father would put it, an impissibolity ?
the EU, the Customs Union, the Eurozone, Schengen, etc… different countries in different arrangements
now i kinda understand. and yeah, it shows how groups of country is different in agreements and some are overlapping.
thank you for answering!
current issue: the third round of talks just finished and the EU chief negotiator talked publicly about consequences of leaving the single market. no one voted to leave the single market! it was not an option. Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are not in the EU but they are in the single market.
In theory the Brexit vote was about immigrantion. So apply the break on free movement in the uk and then it’s all good. Staying in Europe makes financial sense.
Plus the divorce fee the EU want feels like blackmail. Imagine you cancel your gym membership a month early, ok you lose that month but, they don’t charge you a fine for leaving!
