People who say bi erasure doesn’t happen need to realize Freddie Mercury is known as the most famous homosexual man when he identified himself as bisexual. If that’s not bi erasure I don’t even know.

Also PoC erasure, most people don’t know he was 100% Indian

Specifically he was Parsi.
Also raised Zeroastrian.

*zoroastrian

Freddie was the son of two Indian citizens who lived in what is now part of..Africa.

Wikipedia:

“Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara; Gujarati: ફારોખ બલસારા, Pharōkh Balsārā‌) was born in the British protectorate of Sultanate of Zanzibar, East Africa (now part of Tanzania). His parents, Bomi (1908–2003) and Jer Bulsara (1922–2016),were Parsis from the Gujarat region of the then province of Bombay Presidency in British India. The family surname is derived from the town of Bulsar (now known as Valsad) in southern Gujarat. As Parsis, Mercury and his family practised the Zoroastrian religion.[The Bulsara family had moved to Zanzibar so that his father could continue his job as a cashier at the British Colonial Office.”

Privately he was bisexual, his closest friends knew but, it wasn’t common knowledge at the time. In fact it was a huge story literally the day before he died that he had Aids and was a homosexual. Splashed across the British tabloids of the day. The news of his bisexual life came out publicly later.

He was a hero of my mother. She adored him, exceptionally sad when he died, I asked if she was shocked he had AIDS, she said absolutely not. Perhaps I get my gaydar from my mum.
