I’ve just read about the government as part of Brexit have voted down the amendment to keep the Charter of Fundamental Rights when Brexit happens and that is terrifying to me.

In my mind, everyone should have human rights and the only people who don’t want you to have human rights are the ones who know their actions will go against those rights.

And I don’t think (after talking to a few people about why this is bad) that people get, that if this charter is abolished that means we have no right to healthcare or housing or a fair trial and as someone has put, you would only worry about getting rid of a charter like this, if you had plans to change things.
